About us I Centre for Research in Health and Development | CRIHDev

High-quality data is essential for developing and implementing effective strategies, policies, interventions and services. However, the data that is needed is often not available. When available, the data is sometimes fragmented, not easily accessible and/or in formats that are not user-friendly. This hinders the development of data-driven or evidence-informed solutions to societal challenges. Solving data availability and access problems is at the heart of what we do.

Our Vision & Mission I Centre for Research in Health and Development | CRIHDev

Our Vision

A world where there is sustainable and inclusive development, with no one left behind.

Our Mission

Our mission is to work with governments and other local and international organizations to ensure the availability and accessibility of the data needed to better align strategies, policies, interventions, and services with the needs of the populations they serve, and to respond quickly to any changes in those needs.

Our Values I Centre for Research in Health and Development | CRIHDev

Inclusive Collaboration

To identify data gaps and to design and implement our data and evidence-gathering initiatives, we work closely with end users and those whose lives will be impacted by the data we produce. This ensures that our efforts are demand-driven and align with expressed needs. It gives us a more holistic view of the data content and how it should be collected and presented to facilitate translation into decision-making.
